Cilla & Camilla is owned by Richard Barker and Sally Ann Palmer. Sally Ann has a background in publishing and performing arts; Richard was previously a director of Waterstones Booksellers.
Dorset Retail Ltd was started in 2011 when a small gift shop was acquired in Beaminster. Since then the business has grown to become a thriving, well-liked and respected trader in the market towns of West Dorset.

Giving
Gifts are our speciality! Whether you are looking for the perfect present for someone else, or yourself, we aim to please! We like to think that pretty much everything we sell would make a welcome gift for any occasion. From greetings cards and jewellery to mugs to gloves to soaps to aprons to scarves to cushions to – we could go on! Our staff are always happy to help our customers find the perfect present. If you can’t decide, give them the choice with a Cilla & Camilla gift voucher. The vouchers can be used in all our shops as well as the café.

Whether it’s candles and cushions or tea towels and toast tongs, we have a wonderful range of homeware. Among the brands we stock are candles from St Eval, kitchen linen, glasses from LSA, cushions from Biggie Best, throws from Tweedmill – and the list goes on!

Cooking
Our specialist cookshop in Sherborne is an Aladdin’s cave for the cook! We really do have almost everything you might need for your kitchen, together with many things you might not know you need! The cookshop features many well known brands. Our staff are very knowledgeable and always ready to offer advice on which utensil will work best for your particular culinary need. Our other stores also have a range of cookware and kitchen utensils on offer.

Wearing
Beautiful women’s clothing from Seasalt, Chalk and other independent brands feature in our Beaminster store, together with jewellery from Hot Tomato, Lisa Angel, Big Metal and many more lovely brands. Jewellery and a small range of clothing is also available in our Bridport store. We also stock bags, scarves, socks and other accessories including from Roka, Thought, Jemjar, Powder and many more.
The Environment
Our Commitment
Cilla & Camilla recognise the responsibilities that businesses have to protect the environment. All our electricity is purchased from 100% renewable energy sources and, at our counters, we only use recyclable paper bags and tissue.
We work consistently with our suppliers to reduce the amount of unnecessary packaging we use in our business. For example, our greetings cards are increasingly displayed and sold without plastic wrapping,and we now sell unwrappped Savon de Marseille soap.
Wherever possible we reduce our use of paper by ordering online and by receiving all supplier invoices and statements electronically. Virtually all our payments are made electronically
